Kris, my first question is do you have Marti Michelle's kaleidoscope book? This book really lays out the proper steps for the pattern.
One key thing to look for are you using a 'true' quarter inch seam? If not, that can cause the type of problem you are describing.
If you have further questions - please feel free to respond on the blog and I will be happy to email you with more information.

I have had trouble in sewing the two halves together without a pucker that is hard to flatten. Is there a trick to this?

Check out the blogs this week - I will be posting info and the pictures for the quilt that has the game of matching the pictures. Glad you came to the quilting seminar.

I attended the Eau Claire seminar on April 3 and really enjoyed it. Thanks. I am trying to find the pattern or info or book name of the quilt you showed called "The I Spy Quilt." made from hexagons.
 Enjoy your blog.
Thanks. dwolter7@yahoo.com
